ASG Calculator

"Many educators find that setting growth goals with students is a beneficial way to involve students with assessment data and their own learning. The Achievement Status & Growth Calculator is a tool which enables you to determine a student's status norms (percentiles) based on the number of instructional weeks appropriate for your organization's testing schedule. In addition, the ASG calculator can help to determine a reasonable amount of growth for a student, and the percentile ranking of the growth achieved over the time period."

Awards given to students at Lewis & Clark Elementary, South Sioux City. After Spring testing, students who were at benchmark in one tested area received a bronze award, a silver award for being at benchmark in two areas, and a gold if they were at benchmark in three areas. Students were also recognized for raising their individual score in any tested area by 15, 20, 30 or 40 points.

Lewis & Clark Elementary, South Sioux City, uses goal cards with students that list their results and goal for each MAP area as compared to 2008 Normative Data for each grade level. Scores for NeSA testing are included on the goal card. For each testing period, students reflect on what they did well and what they plan to do for the next testing window and this is placed on the back of each student's goal card.
